I've uploaded the newest crosshurd script which now lets you compile a working toolchain and pacman/makepkg.
And even cooler than that, I added all the packages needed for a minimal boot system to the repo. Just to be perfectly clear, using pacman to install any one of them on your Arch Linux system will definitely not convert it to hurd but break it, hard. You can however extract all of them to a VM image to get yourself a bootable hurd system. More importantly you can test pacman on hurd using them.
And one more time to be sure: Do NOT add the Arch Hurd Repo to your Arch Linux mirrorlist
